Andrew Smith
[Technology College Director & 3rd Line Support Team]Technology College Director at St Paul's Catholic College has worked in a number of schools across the county. Andrew used to be an technician at Matthew Arnold School in Staines before being promoted to Assistant Network Manager, he then left to take up the role of IT Manager at St Paul's Catholic College. During his career he has also sub contracted to 3 leading London IT firms running their support and development teams.
Studied at Spelthorne College Andrew achieved top ten in the country at A-Level IT and went on to do his Cisco qualification. Since then he has had over 8 year's experience in the field and today manages clients projects collectively worth over 2 million. Recently Andrew has achieved his Prince2 Project management qualification to add to his portfolio.
These days Andrew forms part of the SLT team at St Paul's Catholic College, he leads on the schools technology college status promoting the use of technology within teaching and learning. Andrew also leads the St Paul's Connect business where over 11 members of staff support and develop ICT for a customer base of over 35 clients.
Lisa Cosgrave
[Administration Assistant]Lisa is the Administration Assistant for the St Paul's Connect team. After completing a Business degree at Royal Holloway College, University of London she has had a variety of PA roles in both the private and public sector.
Bobby Moore
[Operations, Senior Technician & 3rd Line Support Team ]Bobby studied at Guildford College but learnt most of his trade while here at Connect. Starting off as a junior technician Bobby has been at the core of Connect since day one of the businesses creation. Currently a senior engineer he manages the team, heads up product development and is the account manager for the majority of the public sector customers.
He is a master of all trades, having expertise in; Photoshop graphic design, Windows technologies (ISA, IIS, Exchange, Hyper V), Virtualisation networks and project management (network, switch and hardware implementation).
Chris Watterston
[Web Designer, Front-End Development, IT Technician & 2nd Line Support Team]Chris Watterston finished Bishop Wand C of E School in Sunbury in 2005 and moved on to study Music Technology at West Thames College in London completing a 2 year course with distinctions. While studying at college Chris worked at Queen Mary Sailing Club for 2 years as a sailing instructor and powerboat safety driver. Chris then moved onto working for CD Surveys for 1 year getting involved with Computer Aided Design and surveying.
In early 2008 Chris started to explore the Internet industry teaching himself web design and front-end development using the Adobe Suite. Since joining Connect in late 2008, Chris has progressed from an Junior IT Technician up to undertake the responsibilities of web design, front-end development and IT technician with the added commitment of maintaining our web servers and Apple networks.
Gary Kent
[Server Engineer, IT Support Engineer & 3nd Line Support Team]Gary completed Bsc in Computer Networks at Middlesex University and with previous technical rolls at Northgate Information Solutions, Combined insurance and Electronic Arts. Currently serving as a Support Engineer with extensive knowledge of; Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix remote access platform and VMware virtualisation.
Handling tasks of providing on-site server-support as well as resolving issues related to hardware, operating systems and configurations. Gary is responsible for maintaining data integrity of various servers and ensuring that the server security is in accordance with the established standards and best practices.
Sonal Maheshwari
[Development & Programming]Sonal has been working with St Paul's Connect as a PHP Developer. Her day to day job is creating new applications/websites, enhancing the company portfolio and dealing with our onsite SQL/MYSQL databases.
Before St Paul's Connect Sonal had been working for IBM Global Services as an Application developer and has worked with almost all major clients of IBM like AT&T, Bell Canada and Telstra. Meanwhile done her Sun Java Certification and became a Certified professional for Java 5. Education background - Masters in Computer Science from Banasthali Vidyapith which is one of Top University in India and Sonal did her B.Sc in Computer Science. Sonal originate from Rajasthan, India.
Steven Fitzgerald
[IT Technician & 2nd Line Support Team]Steve studied for his GCSE'’s at Hampton academy, after which he moved on to work in the graphic design industry for roughly five years were he was responsible for a large client base including Porsche, Ford and Harrods.
Steve currently works at one of our managed service customers where he deals with 1st and 2nd line support requests. Specialising in RM networks Steve is also competent in Windows technologies, Exchange, active directory, etc.
Matthew Cowan
[IT Technician & 2nd Line Support Team]Just after leaving school Matthew worked in a PC Repair shop in Binfield before leaving to go to college. Matthew studied at Wokingham and Bracknell for 2 years on a BTEC ICT Diploma, where he achieved a Pass. From there Matthew worked in his familys business as a data installer before joining St Paul's Connect shortly after.
Matthew is currently working for St Paul's Connect at one of our managed service customers. He have been working at our current customers site for just over a year as part of our managed service team dealing with 1st and second line requests.
James Hammond
[Junior IT Technician & 1st Line Support Team]James attained his GCSE's and A-Level's at Halliford School and went on to Graduate at the University of Winchester with a Sport Science BSC (hons). After university he worked within the printing industry as an engineer and was also responsible in building their client base.
James is passionate about IT and is working towards becoming a Microsoft Certified Technician. He has quickly settled into the IT department and enjoys visiting our various sites.
James Cartmel
[Junior IT Technician & 1st Line Support Team]James studied at Richmond-Upon-Thames college in I-Media learning skills in 2D and 3D animation, photography, web design and Photoshop. Following this he continued to develop his passion for web design and Photoshop at Kingston university, while at Kingston James gained a Cisco System Fundamental qualification.
After University James took up a position at Twickenham rugby stadium playing semi-professional rugby. When not playing rugby, James worked in the restaurant supervising a small team and gaining valuable experience dealing with customers.
At Connect James is responsible for dealing with day-to-day technical issues and resolving user problems.
